Introducing New Climber – Jackie Yates
Hi I’m Jackie Yates from Loch Assynt Lodge – I am a very very late addition to the team and so excited to be part of this adventure.
Occupation: Proprietor of Highland Sporting Estate in Sutherland
Reason for taking part in the climb : A Mid life crisis, Jane Thomson, white wine and a great love of adventure!
Likes: A round a table with good food, lots of wine and great company.
Dislikes: Camping – (is it true we are sleeping in a tent?) and SPIDERS
Training to date: My first Munro was Lochnagar but I have also climbed Quinag and StacPoly near my home.
A lesser known fact about me: My training started a few years ago when Jane and I were preparing for the Caledonian Challenge and however many miles we completed in a day there had to be a pub (that was open) at the end of it. Our Team name was The Thirsty Crows!!
